About The Role
As a Project Manager you will focus on delivery of HR and Financial Solutions (HRFS) globally. Projects typically involve network, hardware, or software implementation and upgrades. Coordinate work performed by technical and functional staff across all IT departments, internal customers, and partners, and/or vendors. Develop detailed project plans and manage all implementation processes including project chartering, resource allocation, progress tracking, issue management, risk management, budget analysis, change control, testing, documentation, training, and production deployment within budget and schedule constraints. Projects vary in number, size, and complexity.


What You'll Do:

  • Manage medium-sized projects typically involving multiple technical, business, and/or vendor teams; multiple technology platforms, and cross-project dependencies
  • Facilitate and control changes to project scope, schedule, and cost with review, adjust plans as needed to ensure successful delivery
  • Motivate the project team to understand and meet customers' expectations
  • Identify, analyze, and escalate resourcing issues to Resource Managers as appropriate
  • Ensure effective transition into production and meeting production acceptance readiness criteria
  • Is able to apply knowledge of organizational priorities, culture elements, and leadership risk profiles, to maximize effectiveness on a project
  • Present project updates through Domo
  • Identify, analyze, escalate, and facilitate resolution of issues affecting project scope, schedule or cost appropriately and consistently
  • Measure and analyze progress against plan using objective, standard criteria
  • Utilize analysis methods like earned value and critical path to analyze trends and anticipate issues
  • Assist in right-tracking projects in trouble
  • Adapt to changing project environment
  • Identify project stakeholders (RACI)
  • Understand and document key project parameters like business objective, customer, technical and functional scope, budget, and schedule
  • Identify project resources and any gaps to be addressed.
  • Understand how the project's technical scope supports customer needs, and where the technical work areas may be new or challenging
  • Work with business contacts and other key stakeholders to develop project plans, communications mechanisms and strategies that reflect leadership priorities.
  • As part of regular team planning and reviews, identify project risks and work with leadership to agree on mitigation strategies.  Track mitigation steps until resolved.
  • Identify and manage hidden and cross-project risks
  •  Manage risks among multiple distributed teams
  • Use standard approved processes, tools, and templates, tailoring them as necessary
  • Lead and/or participate in process improvement efforts
  • Consolidate schedule and cost estimates from IT staff, internal partners, and vendors
  • Assign and monitor work of IT staff and vendors, ensuring alignment with project parameters
  • Work directly with resource managers to coordinate resource planning, mobilization, and utilization
  • Work with key project team members to develop, agree, baseline, publish, and maintain the project plan
  • Document and publish meeting minutes, key decisions, and action items
  • Ensure all project deliverables are published consistently and are available to all stakeholders
  • Share improvement ideas and best practices within Delivery Management Team (DMT)
  • Communicate accurately, courteously, and concisely in accordance with approved communication plan
  • Facilitate meetings to ensure purpose, flow, participation, and follow-up including the collection of action items and production of meeting outcomes
  • Oversee effective communications among technical and functional IT staff, internal partners and customers, and vendors
  • Publish objective, regular, accurate project status to stakeholders escalating any needed decision points to appropriate stakeholder(s)
  • Weekly Status reporting to key stakeholders with Issues and challenges faced by the project: present the options, if possible, and your preference with a reason


What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years project management experience with significant responsibility progression
  • More than three types of projects managed
  • Proficient project management practices.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Project, Visio, and Excel
  • General knowledge of IT functions and disciplines
  • Ability to coordinate and collaborate with technical teams
  • Strong work ethic and self-discipline
  • Ability to prioritize and focus effort
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong business writing skills
  • Strong ability to manage others
  • Ability to influence others and present ideas persuasively
  • Solid budgeting and planning ability
  • Ability to plan and manage complex projects often consisting of multiple technical teams

    The typical annual salary range for this position is shown below and is negotiable depending upon experience and location. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.

    $92,000.00 - $135,000.00
